Spread Trading (Interest Rate Futures) Course - OZO & MNG
The course covers Spread Trading using Interest Rate futures (Euroyen and Eurodollar futures). The course is held over 2 days (8 hours per session) plus a review session conducted around 4 weeks after the completion of the course.
This Intermediate level course also includes a LIVE trading session on the 2nd day. Beginners are still welcome as the basics about spreads are covered to bring everyone up to speed.
This course is useful to traders who want to understand Spread Trading and learn how to hedge risks. As the emphasis is on Interest Rate futures, it also provides traders with another option to the crowded FX and equity indices products.
This course broadens the participants' minds to the dynamics of trading. They will gain practical knowledge and skills on how to trade interest rate futures using fundamental analysis, spread trading and risk reduction techniques. They will also learn discipline and sound trading psychology which will enable the participants to be successful traders.
The course fee is $1800 and is currently conducted once a month. The course is conducted by 2 trainers which gives greater trainer-participant interaction.
Fredrick Lim (OZO) has been in the industry since 1994 and turned full-time futures trader (Local) in 1997. He is a versatile trader who engages in various trading strategies. On top of that, OZO was also the market maker for Eurodollar and Euroyen interest rates products for several years when he was trading in SIMEX. OZO was awarded the SGX No.1 Traders' Award for the year 2002 for Eurodollars Futures.
Lynn Tuan Ming (MNG) is a full-time SGX trader, trading Spreads in Eurodollar futures. MNG has 23 years of trading experience having started in 1986 at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and later becoming a SIMEX Local in 1992. MNG has also been actively contributing to the Futures Traders' community. He served as Chairman of the Locals Committee for 3 terms (6 years). MNG is currently an Executive Committee member of AFACT.
