Mr Ng Tee How
After graduating from the University of Tennessee, Mr Ng worked in a local bank and a local SME before joining the futures industry in 1984. He first worked for Continental Futures from 1984 to 1990 and subsequently joined Goldman Sachs Futures from 1990-1998.
Mr Ng became a Simex local in 1998, and ran his own firm Promisedland (Simex Trader) Pte Ltd for more than 15 years. He is currently a director in Synergy Link Capital Pte Ltd.
Mr Ng has been actively involved in serving the futures traders’ community since 2003. He served as Chairman of the locals committee from 2004-2006. He has been President of AFACT since its incorporation.
Mr Leonard Kok
Mr Leonard Kok Fook Hong started futures trading in 1981 and became a Simex local in 1989. He founded Led Capital Management Pte Ltd in 1990.
Leonard acted as market maker and liquidity provider in the early days of MSCI Taiwan Index, Nikkei 225, SiMSCI and Nifty Futures.
Mr Wang Toon Luan
After working 15 years in the banking industry, Mr Wang Toon Luan became a local (symbol WTL) in 1994 and was making markets in Nikkei options until the closure of the Nikkei pit. He also served at a Pit Committee member for the Nikkei option pit.
Mr Wang is currently trading the various index futures on SGX, OSE and CME.
Ms Cindy Teo
Ms Cindy Teo have worked in private banking, asset management and fund management over 8 years before moving on full time to Coterie, a proprietary trading firm, as a trader and director. She trades in index futures such as Nikkei 225.
Mr Samuel Tan
Samuel Tan has been actively trading equity index futures and FX under Solitaire Asset Management (SGX TMP) since Jan 2010. Prior to trading on his own, Samuel worked as a Senior Fund Manager for Temasek Holdings, JL Capital and Tudor Capital focusing mainly in FX and rates trading.
Samuel was also involved in training for fixed income investment and futures trading under the banner of SGX academy.
Mr Gilbert Yap
Mr Gilbert Yap started his banking career with Standard Chartered Bank in 1980. Joined Charles Fulton Brokerage House in 1986 as a money broker.
Head-hunted to join Citibank in 1987 in the derivatives futures market, eventually rising to the position of VP, Regional Marketing Director. He was involved with numerous training, seminars & in house as well as external talks for Citibank & other financial institutions like SIMEX.
He also played an advisory role in the planning stages for Kuala Lumpur Options and Financial Futures Exchange and the Malaysian Monetary Exchange
Left Citibank in 1997 and continue trading happily on his own ever since.
Mr Stan Lim
Mr Stan Lim Kah Guan’s career in trading began in 2007, making the shift to derivatives trading in 2009.
In his current capacity as CEO at Integer Alpha, Mr Lim manages a proprietary trading team that seeks to generate alpha across multiple asset classes in a global macro fashion. He has been an AFACT member since 2011.
Mr Kenn Aw
Mr Kenn Aw started his career in the high security locking devices in Sales and Marketing. He spent 15 years in the industry while investing in the local stock market. Left corporate in 2008 and ventured into trading full time the following year focusing mainly on local stocks with spot forex and futures on the side.
Ms Teh Li Rong
Teh Li Rong graduated from the Singapore Management University in May 2007 and began her professional career as a proprietary trader with Boomer Capital Pte Ltd. She has since become a successful trader and is now the Managing Director of Boomer Capital Pte Ltd.
Mr Peter Purnadi
Mr Peter Purnadi graduated from University of California, Berkeley in 2002. He has worked in KPMG and JP Morgan before becoming a proprietary trader in 2010. He trades mainly equities index futures on various exchanges.
Mr Darren Chu
Mr Darren Chu founded Tradable Patterns and is a Commodity Trading Advisor and Introducing Broker. Previously, Darren served as IntercontinentalExchange | NYSE Liffe‘s country manager for Australia, India, and the UAE, eventually looking after Liffe sales in APAC ex-Japan/Korea. Before relocating to Singapore, he marketed Canadian futures and options for TMX Group | Montreal Exchange for 4 years, across North America, London, Singapore and Hong Kong. Darren also launched and managed CMC Markets Canada’s Chinese marketing and sales team, and education. Darren has been a speaker at Canadian universities and authored content for 3 derivatives courses of the Canadian Securities Institute.
