Membership

Membership shall be open to all licensed and registered Trading Members (Individual or Proprietary) in Singapore who are affiliated with the members of the Singapore Exchange Limited.

There shall be the following categories of members:

a. Honorary members
b. Ordinary members
c. Associate members

Honorary Membership

The Executive Committee may invite any person with at least 10 years' working experience who is familiar with the Singapore derivatives or securities markets and/or is either currently or previously registered with the Singapore Exchange Limited as a Trading Member (Individual or Proprietary) or Trading Representative to be an Honorary member for a period as it thinks fit. The Honorary membership shall be limited to 8 members. Honorary members shall have no voting rights.

Ordinary Membership

Ordinary membership shall be open to all Trading Members (Individual or Proprietary) registered with the Singapore Exchange Limited. Ordinary members shall have voting rights.

Associate Membership

Associate membership shall be open to any person who does not meet the requirements of Ordinary membership. Associate members shall have no voting rights.

Every application for membership shall be forwarded to the Honorary Secretary who shall, at the first convenient opportunity, submit it to the Executive Committee for approval. The Executive Committee may at its discretion approve or reject any application without assigning any reason thereof.

Every applicant shall upon payment of the prescribed entrance fee and the subscription, for the appropriate period be admitted as a member of the Association and be entitled to all the rights and privileges of membership.

Fees

Entrance Fee : SGD$200.00 (Waived for 1st time application)

Ordinary Membership : SGD$100 per annum. (July 2010-June 2011)

Associate Membership : SGD$100 per annum. (July 2010-June 2011)

Terms & Conditions:
1. Certain categories of SGX Trading Members (SGX Trading Members Proprietary - Corporates) might not be eligible for AFACT Membership and will be subjected to final approval by AFACT EXCO

2. All membership applicants are subjected to approval and all decisions made are final. AFACT will not entertain any queries on outcome of membership application

3. SGX reserves its right to withdraw, modify or amend its incentives schemes with regards to AFACT membership benefits.
